How do I get started?

There are a number of ways to get started:

Does my site have to be hosted by Firebrand Media?

No (but we prefer to work with our own equipment - and it's so reasonably priced!) But, if you would prefer to set up your own web hosting that is perfectly fine. Just give us the location of your web server and we will upload the files accordingly.

Do you offer maintenance plans?

Yes. If you have a website that you would like updated but cannot perform the updates yourself then we would be happy to update your site as needed. Contact us for more information on our website maintenance plans.

Is there any flexibility in the pricing?

Always. As hard as we try to make things affordable, we know that some businesses have less to spend on advertising than others. With that in mind, we are willing consider payment plans, trading services and possibly even price breaks. Feel free to contact us and ask.

Can I provide my own images?

Of course. We accept images via email, CD, or we can also scan your printed images for use on your web site.

Do you offer templates for printing products?

All of our printing templates can be found here. We provide templates in EPS of PDF format.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, eCheck, Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express and PayPal.

Do you do re-designs? Does my site have to be built from scratch?

We would gladly do a redesign of your site using elements of your current site.

Do you provide on-site computer training?

Yes, but not as much as we used to. Computer training is done at a rate of $80.00 per hour. Training is provided in programs such as Windows, Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and others. For information on a specific program, please contact us.

What do you use to develop your websites? Video? Graphic Design?

All of our sites incorporate CSS, HTML, PHP, MySQL and Javascripting in some shape or form. We do our best to conform to web standards. Some of the programs we use on a daily basis are Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash, Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, and Motion. All of our computers are Apple Macintosh running MacOS X.

Do you only do web design for businesses in the Eastern WV area?

Not at all. While we are located in Martinsburg, WV, most of the work that is done to develop a web site can be done using email, IM and FTP.

What is the difference between 4/0, 4/1 and 4/4?

Printed materials are identified by the number of colors that will be used to print the image. Printers use a four color system when printing. A full color document (ie. an image) would be considered a 4 color print. An item that is made up of only black (or grayscale) would be considered a 1 color print. Items in our store are categorized based on the number of colors available using this system: 4/0 = Full Color Front, Blank Back - 4/1 = Full Color Front, Black & White or Grayscale Back - 4/4 = Full Color Front, Full Color Back.
